Our team
In our practice, our staff and a positive, collaborative work environment are very important. The entire Zahninsel team shares one goal: we want children and parents to feel completely cared for, and we strive to ensure that your visit and treatment at our locations run smoothly and efficiently. Through ongoing training in our respective specialties, we keep ourselves up to date to provide the best care for you.
Collaborations
Zahninsel in Munich has a network of experienced colleagues. Close collaboration with specialists from various fields is important to us, and when needed, careful coordination is carried out.
Anesthesia
For decades, we have worked closely and trustfully with the colleagues of the Anesthesia Association in Bavaria (www.agib.info). For dental surgeries or more extensive treatments—especially for very young, anxious, or traumatized children—general anesthesia may be recommended. In such cases, an anesthesiologist, a pediatric dentist, and a pediatric anesthesia nurse are present to ensure the procedure is safe and comfortable.

Oral surgery
At the practice of Dres. Back & Blume, oral surgical treatments are provided on-site. During dental rehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration with a specialist in oral surgery may be necessary, for example, for the removal of impacted teeth. For years, we have worked with Dr. Michael Back (www.backundblume.de). The advantage for you: To spare our young patients a second procedure and reduce additional appointments, we coordinate the schedule so that Dr. Back comes to our practice on the day of the procedure, performing the surgical treatment in combination with the dental restoration.
